Riverfront Community

Our Approach

Riverfront is a new single-family home community by TRI Pointe Homes located adjacent to the Petaluma River within walking distance of the historic downtown district via paved trails. The 36-acre development consists of 133 modern, two-story units featuring contemporary, open floor plans and state-of-the-art technology. It is part of a master plan that also includes 100 apartment units with ground-floor commercial spaces, a 122-room hotel, office, a multi-story office building, and recreational facilities.

CalWalls expertise in managing complex site conditions delivered an innovative wall system tailored to the challenges of the development’s waterfront location, such as sandy soil, environmental sensitivity, and groundwater considerations. The 5,000-square-foot retaining wall project required precise engineering to account for combined seismic loads from surrounding streets, sidewalks, and structures, including the new hotel nearby.

GS2 Block on helical barrel footings created an ideal, low-impact, high-strength solution for this setting, minimizing disruption to the surrounding environment while ensuring the structural integrity of the entire development. Our retaining wall system played a pivotal role in site preparation to mitigate soil condition and groundwater concerns, resulting in streamlined construction processes, stronger foundations, improved long-term durability, which is vital for a community positioned along the riverfront.
